Dear Parkview Middle School Families,

I hope that you and your loved ones are well and safe. While this isn’t how we expected to start this school year, we are committed to serving your child’s academic and social-emotional needs through Distance Learning. All of our staff is working hard to provide the best Distance Learning experience for your child until we are able to physically return safely to school.

Your child’s homeroom teacher will contact you beginning August 6th to provide you with important information for the school year, including Chromebook and materials pick-up. They will be providing you with an appointment time to meet face to face with you and your child (following proper social distancing guidelines) to go over expectations of distance learning, answer questions, and hand out materials. If you cannot meet in person, you can work with your child’s teacher to arrange an alternate meeting. Please read and complete ALL of the enclosed forms and return to your child’s teacher at your scheduled time. The first day of school through Distance Learning is Tuesday, August 11th.

If your address/phone number have changed, please notify the office as soon as possible so that we may continue to provide you updates as new information is available. All parents are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to have a valid email address. This will help us provide timely information to your family regarding important updates during the school year. If you do not have one, we will be happy to help you set one up.

New Distance Learning Requirements:

• Structured school day

• Daily attendance monitoring

• Ongoing Assessment

• Regular school grading system - letter grades will be given for each core class

Estimados Parkview Middle School Familias,

Espero que usted y sus seres queridos estén bien y a salvo. Aunque no es así como esperábamos empezar este año escolar, estamos comprometidos a servir las necesidades académicas y socio-emocionales de su hijo a través de la educación a distancia. Todo nuestro personal está trabajando duro para proporcionar la mejor experiencia de aprendizaje a distancia para su hijo hasta que podamos volver físicamente a la escuela con seguridad.

El maestro de su hijo se pondrá en contacto con usted a partir del 6 de agosto para darle información importante para el año escolar, incluyendo el libro de cromoterapia y la recogida de materiales. Le dará una cita para reunirse cara a cara con usted y su hijo (siguiendo las pautas de distanciamiento social adecuadas) para repasar las expectativas de la educación a distancia, responder preguntas y repartir materiales. Si no puede reunirse en persona, puede trabajar con el maestro de su hijo para organizar una reunión alternativa. Por favor lea y complete TODOS los formularios adjuntos y devuélvalos al maestro de su hijo a la hora programada. El primer día de clases a través de la Educación a Distancia es el martes 11 de agosto.

Si su dirección/teléfono ha cambiado, por favor notifique a la oficina tan pronto como sea posible para que podamos continuar proporcionándole actualizaciones a medida que la nueva información esté disponible. A todos los padres se les ANIMA mucho a tener una dirección de correo electrónico válida.
